Pacquiao still willing to rumble after 8th title

Despite scoring successive victories in the last 5 years, Manny Pacquiao remains hungry to win and still wants to fight.

“Ready tayo lumaban kahit sino man (I’m ready to fight anyone),” the new World Boxing Council (WBC) super welterweight king told ABS-CBN's Dyan Castillejo in Texas.

Pacquiao, heralded as Fighter of the Decade, pummeled Mexico’s Antonio Margarito for his 8th world title in front of thousands of spectators at the Cowboys Stadium over the weekend.

The Filipino champion has not been beaten since being outpointed by Mexican legend Erik Morales in 2005. He avenged his defeat and then scored a string of victories against the likes of David Diaz, Oscar de la Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto en route to 8 title wins.

When asked to pick between American Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez for his next fight, the pound-for-pound king said: “Pangit naman kung pumili tayo ng kalaban. Kung sino man ang mag-close ng deal at readyng lumaban sa akin ay pagbibigyan natin.”

(It would not look good to pick opponents. Whoever closes the deal and whoever is ready to fight, I’ll fight.)

My idol does it again... Goodluck on your next fight..
